This week’s playful self-discipline challenge was to take some more steps toward growing my freelance career. I’ve written this post and deleted it twice. Seems that writing about my efforts to do more writing just doesn’t make good writing. And even when you’re a freelancer, writing publicly about work just doesn’t seem like a great idea.
So I give you giant metal chickens, and rainbows instead. This week is heavy on the playful, but rest assured the self-discipline is happening behind the scenes.

I read that chicken story the other day and couldn’t hold in my laughter. Woke the baby up just as he’d fallen asleep. Sent it to my husband so he could laugh with me – turns out it’s not so funny if you’re a guy. Or lack a sense of humour. Whichever.

Yeah, Tom didn’t find it as funny as I did either. But that picture of the chicken knocking at the door? Totally cracks me up, to the point of tears running down my face. SO. FUNNY.
